Madison County school officials say it will be harder to attract qualified teachers to Madison, since Madison salaries are lower. They look to county officials to help make up funding shortfalls to solve this and other problems.The school system needs another $269,375 to balance its budget, Madison County Public Schools Superintendent Brenda Tanner told supervisors at a special Jan. 18 joint supervisors-school board meeting.
