Madison blanks Nelson, 35-0

Madison County (3-0, 0-0) shut out Nelson County (0-3,0-0) 35-0 Friday night in football action at Eddie Dean Field.

Mountaineer senior running back Logan Terrell led the way with 105 yards rushing and two touchdowns, according to the Madison County Athletics Web site.

Jerod Williams scored twice and rushed for 72 yards. Ralph Yates also scored while gaining 63 yards rushing. Dustin Kirby threw for 109 yards.

Madison had 409 yards of total offense, while the Madison defense held the Governors to only 68 total yards.

Madison will next play Luray’s Bulldogs in away action Sept. 25. Kick-off is 7:30 p.m.
