Family’s Christmas gifts stolen, but keep spirit

Editor:

You came in our home when we were not there.

You walked around without a care.

You opened our drawers and looked behind doors.

You left your sliminess on our floors.

You are definitively illiterate and cannot read.

Your name was not on the packages you stole from me.

You stole children’s gifts that were clearly not yours.

You’d rather pry open a window or break in a door.

You didn’t budge our Christmas spirit, not one inch,

Even though you chose to be a Christmas Grinch.

As for the gifts and personal items you stole,

May God have mercy on your soul!

Madison

P.S. If you or someone you know received a Pampered Chef Stoneware Large Bar Pan and or a $25 gift card you may want to take a good look, it probably came from a Christmas crook. Also, if you have any information about this Dec. 22, 2008 home burglary, please call the Madison County Sheriff’s Office at (540) 948-5161.
