MC man reacts to verdict in sheriff’s trial

Congratulations to Madison County Sheriff Erik Weaver on your recent court victory and the clearing of your name and reputation.

The board of supervisors and county administrator owe you the most sincere of apologies; if not their actual resignations for the inexcusable way they colluded in the handling of this matter. Residents of Madison County should feel good that we have at least one county official who is dedicated to getting things done correctly and who is willing to stand on principle.

As for the current members of the board of supervisors and County Administrator Lisa Robertson, this is yet another clear cut example of the questionable decision making which lies at your feet, and it will take a long time to wipe the egg off your faces regarding this situation.

The citizens of the county deserve better leadership at both levels of our government.
