Town should explain its position better

As a nearby resident, just outside the town limits, and one who buys as much locally as possible, I feel I have the right and duty to attend Madison Town Council and Town Planning Commission meetings.
The council meeting on Thursday, April 2 was an absolute sham. An issue of multi-use zoning, which has been shoved around for three years, was on the agenda. One member has been working hard to resolve this issue — the other members refuse to even discuss it.
I find that cowardly and non-responsive. When they don’t even have the integrity to openly opppose an issue, that is a disservice and insulting to the people of Madison.
Also, brought to the attention of the council is an ongoing problem of unkempt yards, lunging dogs, feral cats, late night noise and the suspicion of unsavory activities happening within the town limits.
The concerns of the people didn’t seem to interest the members of the council at all. I urge the residents of Madison to take an interest in what is going on in your town.
