MCHS hosting pre-race mammogram program
Breast cancer awareness is a big focus of the Charlottesville Women’s Four Miler road race set for 8 a.m. Sept. 5 at the Foxfield horse farm. For the 17th straight year, proceeds from the race are going to support the University of Virginia Cancer Center Breast Care Program. Although registration for the popular event is already closed, there are still pre-race activities related to it going on, including in Madison County. The Women’s Four Miler Training Program will have the Digital Mobile Mammography Unit from the UVa Medical Center’s Department of Radiology available for women to get their mammograms at the Madison County High School parking lot on Saturday, Aug. 22 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
