Julie Eaheart, left, is this year’s Madison County High School valedictorian – the highest academically ranked student in the graduating class. The class salutatorian – the second highest ranked student – is Claire Jackson
Due to some late-arriving grading information (it was announced June 11, after the current print edition of The Madison County Eagle went to press), it turns out Julie Eaheart is this year’s Madison County High School valedictorian – the highest academically ranked student in the graduating class. The class salutatorian – the second highest ranked student – is Claire Jackson.
(In this week’s print edition of The Eagle, it is incorrectly reported that Claire was the valedictorian and that Julie was the salutatorian.)
Julie – the daughter of Steve and Katrina Eaheart of Madison – plans to attend the University of Virginia on an $180,000 Navy ROTC scholarship. She plans to major in business management.
Claire – the daughter of Jayne and Brad Jackson of Madison – is planning to attend the College of William and Mary in the fall and major in pre-law. She recently received a $1,000 Allstate Foundation/Virginia High School League Achievement Award Scholarship.
