Weakley, Lackey new supes

BREAKING NEWS -- Jonathon Weakley and Doris Lackey captured seats on the Madison County Board of Supervisors in Tuesday's election, with Weakley getting the most votes (2,191) in the seven-candidate race and Lackey getting the second most (1,567).

In the school board race, incumbents Tonya Taylor and James Nelson each managed to hold onto their seats as the top two vote-getters in the three-way race, with Taylor receiving 2,202 votes and Nelson getting 1,995.

In the sheriff's race, incumbent Erik Weaver defeated challenger Eugene Metz 2,339 to 1,573.
